Robert F. Beall & Son’s offers grease trap cleaning on a
regularly scheduled maintenance basis and 24 hour a day
emergency service. We service Anne Arundel, Baltimore,
Baltimore City, Prince Georges (PG), Howard and Montgomery

important to have a properly sized and functioning grease
trap. Grease traps are needed in establishments that have
food preparation on site. Cooking grease that gets washed
off of appliances cause’s problems in drains and sewers if a
grease trap is not installed and maintained properly.
Regular cleaning of your grease trap will help to ensure
that your grease trap is functioning properly. Call today to
have your grease trap put on a maintenance schedule for
cleaning.
HOW DOES A GREASE TRAP/INTERCEPTOR WORK?
A grease trap is a small tank built in wastewater piping.
This trap holds the water long enough for the FOG’s (Fat,
Grease, and Oil) to coagulate and rise to the surface and
solid debris to settle to the bottom. The grease can then be
removed and disposed of properly.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE MY GREASE TRAP/INTERCEPTOR CLEANED?
How often you have your grease trap cleaned is based off of
several factors including size and usage. Upon inspection
and cleaning of your grease trap our technicians can
recommend a maintenance schedule.
WHY SHOULD I HAVE MY GREASE TRAP/INTERCEPTOR CLEANED?
Having your grease trap cleaned on a regular basis will help
ensure proper disposal of the FOG’s (Fats, Oil, and Grease)
created in food production. If FOG’s enter into your
wastewater pipes it can cause problems in the collection
system pipes. It will also hamper the effectiveness of
wastewater treatment plants. In addition to it being the
responsible act for your wastewater pipes certain areas
including Anne Arundel County, City of Annapolis, Howard
County, Montgomery County, and Prince George’s (PG) County
have inspectors who will test the level of grease in your
trap. If the grease level exceeds recommendations you can be
cited, fined, or your establishment can be closed by the
county. |
